Welcome to the Friends of Beyond Newsletter

The Friends of Beyond Management Committee has agreed that an email newsletter is the best means for regular communication with members of the Friends of Beyond Association. Any important member information that may arise outside of the newsletter will be emailed directly to members. The aim of the newsletter is to provide members with news from the FOB Management Committee and Alexandrina Council and to enhance a sense of community through feature articles about residents, the Beyond environment, flora and fauna and local ideas, events and projects.

Winter has arrived! And we’re pulling out the woolies, making casseroles and soups and settling in at home with winter pursuits. Although the mornings and nights are colder we have still been experiencing sunny days with little rain. Bring on the rain as our lakes, reserves, gardens and rainwater tanks need replenishing! You will have no doubt noticed the local kangaroos and birds venturing out of hiding as they seek water and food.

Since the last newsletter we have celebrated Easter and the Beyond Garage Sale, ANZAC Day and held our first General Meeting of residents since incorporation of Friends of Beyond! And for those who attended, heard about the great work of the Management Committee and the proposed Southern Fleurieu Health and Wellbeing Precinct next to the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre. More news on all of this is in the newsletter.

We at Beyond have much to celebrate this year as the Friends of Beyond Inc. moves into gear following incorporation. Our appreciation of our environment and flora and fauna has led to the formation of the Friends of Beyond Inc. to preserve, improve and celebrate our wonderful community assets and sense of community.
